Creative City

Finally here’s a living proof guide that Hong Kong IS a creative city. All you have to do is know where to look, and the Creative City map takes care of that!

The map celebrates the city’s creative community as well as Hong Kong itself. It was started from the perspective that Hong Kong already has what it takes to be a significant cultural capital, that it is more than its reputation as an international commercial centre.

We definitely agree and are very proud to be stocking the Creative City map at our outlets. They retail at $28 each. Come get yours now!

PURPOSE DRIVEN FASHION

Hopetees was initiated in response to the December 2004 tsunami disaster. Each limited edition raises funds on a project by project basis and contributes to a worthy cause that we are personally involved in or know people that are.

“If being fashionable means you can help others, then buying one of the Hope Tees can be beneficial in a multitude of ways.” (South China Morning Post, Operation Santa Claus)

brunch club’s fantastical book club!

in Causeway Bay where we have oodles of space, we have two antique cupboards filled with donated books….”brunch club’s fantastical book club!”

It is fantastical because:

  • All the books are donated by our customers
  • Free reading and browsing in brunch club
  • Feel free to take any home, provided you donate some in exchange
  • No joining fees, membership fees or hassle
  • You’d be surprised, for donated books, we do have quite a few interesting titles…Looks like lots of you out there are quite into sci-fi, novels, self-help, etc.
  • People have donated games too! (no taking games home though)
  • Wonderful way to spend a lazy afternoon…

A very big googly-eye THANK YOU to all who so generously donated. So for those of you who are not yet on board, come join our book club – give some and take some – and be part of the brunchclubber community exchange!

another winner from HK mag

**** here’s what they said:

It’s hard to get a table at The Brunch Club. This hugely popular eatery is often chockfull of yuppie expats who think they’re in a Manhattan cafe in “Sex and the City.” The clean, simple and white-color décor and the little al-fresco area give off the impression that the little bistro only serves light fate – which is entirely wrong. The goat cheese crepes, while delicious, were pretty heavy. The same with the pasta dishes. But this is a great cozy place to hang out, relax, and read a magazine – just don’t go there during brunch hours; you’ll never get a seat.
